Request for Public Comments

The Cumberland Police Department hereby notifies the public that it will make available a copy of its application detailing the proposed use of funds to be received under the Recovery Act, Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, administered through the U.S. Department of Justice Programs. The Cumberland Police Department has applied for a grant in the amount of $38,370.00 to make the following purchases:

1. A fully equipped front line marked police patrol vehicle

2. Upgrade all department issued Firearms

Residents are encouraged to review the application and make comments regarding the proposed expenditures. Comments can be forwarded to Chief John Desmarais and must be received no later than May 30th, 2009
